Corporate headshots

Why

Headshots are more than just a picture of your face. The image we choose to represent ourselves can say a lot about who we are or where we'd like to go. With our growing online presence through company websites, networking sites and social media, business professionals are beginning to understand the importance of quality headshots as our profile pictures have become an important element of our professional and personal online brand. Dan has worked as a graphic designer and art director for over 20 years and understands the importance of branding. Your headshots and social media profile pics represent your brand—the brand of "you." What is it that you want your brand to say?

The sessions are designed for us to work together to capture engaging images that show both confidence and approachability. You'll be coached into forming a connection and comfortability with the camera that will come through in your photos.

If taking pictures generally freaks you out, don't worry about it. There is absolutely no pressure on you to "pose right", etc. as you’ll be coached into your best angles. We'll have a blast and come out of it with some amazing headshots.

The Session

Corporate headshots can be done in our studio or at your place of business. The camera is connected to a computer during the shoot and we'll periodically pause to review the shots on screen together to discuss what's working and why. By going through them together, we’ll only keep shots that have received both your and our stamp of approval—you can even make your final selection then and there before leaving.

Our corporate headshot sessions are mostly closed ones, meaning we don't encourage others to watch while we shoot. You are welcome to bring a friend, family member or coworker with you to the session, but they will be asked to sit out of your line of sight while we shoot so as not to be distracting. Our main concern there is that we don't want you to get self-conscious and it's easier to relax without spectators.

After your session, a link will be emailed to you to view your shots online—they'll be ready for viewing within 48 hrs after your session. If you didn’t already make your final selection during the session, you can share the link with whoever you'd like to help you decide which shot or shots you want to use—friends, family, your boss, coworkers, etc. In order to maintain a certain level of quality, unretouched high resolution files are not given to clients. After payment for final selects has been made, we will retouch them and a link will be emailed to you to download the high resolution files for all final retouched selected shots.

IN-Studio

Florida Studio

LAKELAND, FL
For those in the Lakeland area, you have the option to shoot in our dedicated studio that is connected to a house in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of South Lakeland near the Southgate Shopping Plaza. It’s about a 10 min drive from I-4 and a 6 min drive from the Polk Parkway/FL-570.

The studio includes a sound system, A/C and heat, WiFi and an area to review images on an external monitor as we go.

Just off the studio is a bathroom, a changing room, and also another room with couches for anyone who comes with you.

In-Office (On-Location)

We can bring our corporate headshot services to you as we currently offer in-office corporate headshots for businesses in the greater NYC area and the central Florida area. This is a great option for minimal interruption to you and your employees work days with no one needing to leave the office or spend time in traffic. Employees may review their shots in real time on our computer and make their final shot selections before going back to work.

We’ll bring our gear and setup in a conference room or other large enough area. We ideally want a space of at least 14 feet deep by 10 feet wide to setup. Conference rooms are usually great for this. It doesn’t need to be a completely clear 14x10 area. Since these are headshots, tables and chairs can usually be worked around and/or shot over. We will work with someone from your office ahead of time to ensure there is an area that will work well.

Besides indoor headshots, we can setup and shoot outdoors as well, weather permitting.

Price

The price includes the session fee as well as one retouched final image of each person/employee. Final retouched photos are delivered in the form of high resolution JPGs via online download within one week of when the final shot selections are made. If you need them sooner than that, let us know and we’ll let you know what can be done.

Additional retouched images may be purchased for an additional $50 each. Files from the session will get archived and backed up so you’ll have access to the shots from your session forever and you can always select and purchase additional retouched shots from your session anytime.

Payment

There is a 50% deposit required to book a session and hold your date and time slot, this is non-refundable and goes towards the total. The remaining balance is due at least 24 hrs before your session. We currently accept payment through business checks, Zelle, Venmo or Cash App.

BOOKING YOUR SESSION

We currently shoot on weekdays and select Saturdays. Shoot times are flexible depending on the schedule for that day and what works best for clients. Please ensure you book an appointment for when you have the time, can be relaxed, and don't have somewhere you're trying to rush off to. Appointments are booked first come first served and the deposit is required to hold your appointment.

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR Corporate Headshot SESSION

  • Get plenty of sleep the week before your shoot, especially the night before your shoot. It looks better in the pictures to actually be rested and full of energy than it does to fake it.

  • WOMEN
Makeup for the session is recommended for women. Please arrive hair and makeup ready but also bring your makeup with you as well in case you need to touch anything up. Healthy skin is best, so make sure your face is clean and moisturized. If at all possible, please use a base that is not powder. Also, please don't attempt to cover up acne or blemishes with extra makeup—we can retouch blemishes away on the computer and it will look better if there isn't a bunch of extra makeup in the area. If you pluck or shape your eyebrows, please go easy. Eyebrows are an important ingredient in your expressions. Please also bring any styling products and comb/brush/pick you may need. If your hair is longer, we can shoot it down and then easily put it up in order to create different looks—so please also bring a scrunchy or hair tie if you think you’d like to do some shots with your hair up.

    MEN
Makeup is not recommended for men. Healthy skin is best, so make sure your face is clean and moisturized. Dry skin will show in the pictures. You'll want to check for ear or nose hair that's visible and take care of that prior to your session. Please also bring any styling products and comb/brush/pick you may need in case you need to touch up anything.

  • If you are getting corporate headshots for your own professional use, then wear clothes that reflect your own personal style or the vibe you want to portray. If it is a corporate headshot that is part of your company’s headshots (for a company website, etc.), be sure to be on the same page with your company regarding whether you are wearing a certain uniform, or the style and level of dressiness for the company headshots. The only color we don't recommend is one that is close to your own skin tone. Bright colors, muted colors, black, and even white all work great. For men, we can shoot some with and some without a tie and some with and without a sport coat depending on the look you or your company are going for. For women, business suits or dresses are fine though keep in mind that for dresses, it is a headshot so you’ll only see he upper chest and shoulders of it. For that reason, strapless dresses may not work well. Textures are great, but try your best to avoid busy or small patterns as they don’t photograph as well as solids and textures.

In case some of your items are badly wrinkled, we have an iron and a steamer that you may use while here.

Another thing you can do is go shopping for new clothes! If there's something you're missing, buy it, leave the tags on, we'll shoot it and then you can return it after we're done if it's not something you want to keep.

Corporate, social media, and portrait headshots allow for wearing jewelry but I’d recommend against anything too overwhelming or distracting for corporate unless it works with the look your company is going for.

  • Eat a sensible meal before you come. Without food, your energy won't be there. On the other hand, if you stuff yourself before coming, you may feel bogged down and tired. Don’t eat or drink anything right before the shoot that could leave a color on your teeth or lips or anything that could end up leaving crumbs in your teeth or facial hair (if applicable).
